A. MATRICULATION, MATRIC NUMBER AND IDENTITY CARDS
All new students are formally admitted to the College at Matriculation. To qualify for matriculation as a student of the College, a student must have satisfied the minimum educational requirement for admission to the College. On Matriculation day, each new student must take the matriculation oath and sign a declaration to mark his/her formal admission to the College, thus signifying that he/she will observe the statutes and regulations of the College and obey the directives of the constituted authority of the College.
All Matriculations are required to be formally dressed for the matriculation ceremony. According to Academic Board regulations, no one can claim to be a bona-fide students of the College without completion of matriculations formalities.
USE OF MARICULATION NUMBERS
Students’ academic records are being computerized in the College Computing Centre. For this purpose, each student is assigned a matriculation number upon registration. No official student record or document may be regarded as complete or valid unless it carries the correct matriculation number. Students are therefore strongly advised to know and to be always definite about their matriculation numbers. It is mandatory to use these numbers on all official transactions, including payments of fees.
THE COURSE UNIT SYSTEM
(A) COURSE UNIT SYSTEM TERMINOLOGIES
(a)Compulsory (C): Courses specified by the College authorities which a student must take and pass.
(b) Required (R): Courses specified by the College authorities which a student must take but not necessary pass.
(c) Elective (E): Courses specified by the College authorities which a student can take in order to make up the required additional units for the award of the certificate.
(d) Concurrent (CT): Specified courses at the same level which must be taken within the same semester.
